This open-pollinated cross between Red Russian and Siberian kale is celebrated for its disease and bolt resistance. Among the best and least bitter of the kale varieties.Tender young leaves are excellent for salads, while mature leaves are ideal for sauteing or adding to stews and soups. Thrives in cool weather and its flavor becomes exceptionally sweet in freezing conditions.
