Yakima Beach offers unique opportunities for visionaries, healers, students, teachers, artists, scientists, chefs, growers and explorers of all kinds.

Our 12-acre farm functions as a learning community and land-based incubator for entrepreneurs who are guided by ethics and values of permaculture in their decision making.

Community Building

How does Yakima Beach operate?

We combine DIY skills with DIT (Do it together!) values, shared resources and an environment that supports and encourages learning in our own neighborhood and beyond. Here’s what that looks like in action:

Host young farmers on our land, and individuals and groups in our guest rooms.
Curate a permaculture and human rights lending library.
Cultivate native, medicinal and tea gardens; grow food
Upcycle compost from the community
And offer plants, locally made items, hot meals and classes that help deepen our connection with our neighbors, the plant world and our shrub-steppe ecosystem.
