ON THE FARM

This week we welcomed our first guests of the year to The Cathaus. While it’s not camping season quite yet the cabin has a heater, lots of blankets and hot chocolate. Give it a try if you’re looking for a little getaway yourself or somewhere to put up a visitor.

New in the shop we’ve got High Desert Healing Salve, dried cardinal basil, dried apple mint and passport sized copies of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for just $1 each. For the salve we use the above recipe and chose oils infused with evergreen and cottonwood resins, big sage, lomatium root, yarrow and propolis. These desert plants combine into an antimicrobial powerhouse.

Our tomatoes and green beans went into Pasta e fagioli, Johnson Orchards and The Little Bake Shop provided dessert and Nona made “stirato” bread and sandwich bread. Served with butter and blueberry & blackcurrant jam.

Net Zero 101: What, Why and How
“This free e-learning course is designed for anyone who wishes to develop a foundational level of understanding of basic science behind climate change, its environmental, social and economic impacts, and actions individuals can take to mitigate climate change and achieve a net-zero society.
